According to the same Anukret № 04/ANK/BK dated on 20th January 2000, the
Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF)
had only 15 Departments. After that the Line Departments of
MEF had increased to 18 as the former
department called «Budget and Finance Department» had separated
into two different departments 1. Budget Department, 2. Financial Affairs Department
. The Non-tax Revenue Department has been established and the so called department
«Analysis and Economic Projection» has renamed to Economic and Public Finance Policy Department
as it was created by the
integration between the old department and the Economic Planning Unit.
Now MEF
has 18 line departments, 1 General
Inspectorate and 1 institution. The role and functions of those line
departments
has been modified and rationalized to
strengthen Public Financial Reform Program in the spirit the fight again
corruption and support the Poverty Reduction
Program of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
